Volunteer Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk, & Media Consent
Organization: Seuk's Army ("Organization"). This Waiver is entered into voluntarily by the individual ("Volunteer") in consideration for being permitted to participate in volunteer activities with or on behalf of Seuk's Army.

2) Volunteer Status
The volunteer understands and agrees that they are not an employee of Seuk's Army, will receive no wages or compensation, and are not entitled to employee benefits, workers' compensation, or unemployment benefits.
3) Description of Volunteer Activities
The Volunteer activities may include (but are not limited to): animal transport support (ground/air coordination), loading/unloading, foster/adoption event support, administrative tasks, fundraising/outreach, photography/videography, website/social media support, coordination with shelters/rescues/adopters, and other mission-related work.
4) Assumption of Risk
The Volunteer understands that volunteer activities carry risks, including, but not limited to: bites/scratches, allergic reactions, exposure to contagious disease, lifting injuries, slips/trips/falls, motor vehicle incidents, airport/airfield hazards, weather-related hazards, and emotional distress from rescue work.
The Volunteer knowingly and voluntarily assumes all risks, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
5) Health & Fitness to Volunteer
The Volunteer confirms they are physically and mentally able to perform volunteer duties and will immediately stop and notify leadership if they feel unsafe or become injured/ill.
6) Animal Handling Acknowledgement
The volunteer understands that animals may be have unpredictably due to stress, fear, trauma, or medical conditions. The Volunteer will follow Seuk's Army safety instructions, leash/crate rules, and handling guidance. Volunteer will not remove any animal from an approved crate, harness, leash system, or vehicle unless instructed by authorized leadership.
7) Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Volunteer releases, waives, and discharges Seuk's Army and its directors, board members, officers, volunteers, agents, representatives, partners, and affiliates ("Released Parties") from any and all liability for injury, death, property damage, or loss arising out of or related to volunteering, including travel to/from volunteer duties. This release applies even if caused in whole or in part by the negligence of a Released Party, except where prohibited by law.
8) Indemnification
The Volunteer agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claim, demand, lawsuit, or expense (including attorney's fees) arising from Volunteer's actions or omissions while volunteering.
9) Vehicle Use & Transport
If the Volunteer participates in driving or transport-related activities, the Volunteer is responsible for their own vehicle maintenance, insurance, and licensing. The Volunteer agrees to obey all traffic laws and drive safely at all times. The Volunteer will not transport animals unless explicitly authorized to do so for that assignment. The Volunteer assumes all responsibilities and liabilities in the use of their own vehicle.
10) Media Consent
The Volunteer grants Seuk's Army the right to photograph/record and use Volunteer's name, voice, likeness, image, or statements for organizational purposes, including fundraising and outreach, without compensation. The Volunteer can not revoke media consent.

Volunteer Waiver
11) Confidentiality & Conduct
The Volunteer will not share confidential rescue/adopter information (including addresses, phone numbers, private medical details) without authorization. Volunteer will act respectfully and professionally. Seuk's Army reserves the right to end volunteer service at any time.
12) Background Check
The Volunteer understands and agrees that Seuk's Army may conduct a criminal and/or other background check as a condition of volunteer service, and the Volunteer authorizes such inquiry. I further understand that this background check will be conducted at no cost to the Volunteer.
13) Organization Policies
The Volunteer agrees to abide by all organizational policies, procedures, and practices as established by Seuk's Army. The Volunteer understands that these policies are designed to ensure a safe, respectful, and effective environment for volunteers, staff, and the community served. The Volunteer further acknowledges that it is their responsibility to remain informed of current policies and to conduct themselves in accordance with them at all times.
