  • 🌼 May Flowers celebrates creativity, renewal, and the beauty that blooms along the Oregon Coast. This exhibition invites North Coast artists to interpret the season through color, texture, and imagination. Artists may submit up to three pieces for consideration be selected for exhibition. All submission will be reviewed by the Curatorial Team and be notified by April 26, 2026.

    • Submission Opens: Friday, March 13, 2026
    • Submission Deadline: Tuesday, April 21, 2026
    • Notification of Acceptance: By April 26, 2026
    • Artwork Drop Off:

    • Sunday, May 3, 5-7 pm 
    • Monday, May 4, 12–6 pm

    • Exhibition: May 8–June 6, 2026
    • Community Reception: Saturday, May 9, 5-7 pm
    • Artwork Pickup: Sunday, June 7, 12–6 pm 

    🌿 Eligibility

    • Open to full or part time residents of the Oregon Coast.
    • Artists must be 18 or older.
    • Artwork must be original, created within the past five years, and not previously exhibited at Blue Water Fine Art Gallery.
    • Artists must hold full copyright.
    • AI generated and digital artwork are not accepted.
    • All work must relate to the May Flowers theme.
    • All work must be for sale and priced by artist.
    • Up to three pieces may be submitted for consideration for the exhibition.

    🌿 Artwork Requirements

    • Maximum size: 150 square inches (including frame).
    • Maximum weight: 20 lbs.
    • Accepted all original art in the following media: paintings, collage, textiles, metals, wood, ceramics, resin and encaustic, and professional photographs.
    • Professionally mounted photographs on archival paper, metal, acrylic, or Dibond are welcome.
    • Artwork must be exhibition ready with secure hanging hardware or a stable base
    • Artwork must be clean, professionally presented, and labeled on the back with: Title, Artist Name, Medium, Dimensions, Year and Price.

    🌿 Presentation Standards

    • Frames, mats, edges, and surfaces should be clean, polished, and gallery ready.
    • All canvases must be presented in a professional frame.
    • Three dimensional pieces should be stable, well constructed, and safe for public display.
    • All accepted artwork will receive a final presentation check at drop off to ensure it’s ready for installation.
    • The gallery reserves the right to decline artwork that arrives damaged or not exhibition ready.
    • The gallery is not responsible for damage caused by inherent structural weaknesses, unstable framing, faulty hardware, or pre existing conditions.

    🌿 Sales & Commission

    • Artist receives 60% of the sale price; the gallery retains 40%.
    • Artist payments are issued no later than the 15th of the month following the exhibition’s close.
    • The gallery may use submitted images solely for promoting the exhibition.

    • Monday, May 4, 12-6 pm

    Pickup:

    • Sunday, June 7, 12–6 pm.

  • Format: (000) 000-0000.
  • Image Requirements: Artists may submit up to three high‑quality images of your artwork (JPEG, JPG or PNG, up to 5 MB) format. Each submission must include at least one full‑view image that accurately represents the entire artwork without cropping or alterations. 

    Framing & Presentation: Artwork must be framed to gallery‑quality standards and ready to hang, with proper hardware installed. Exceptions apply only when the medium or presentation style is professionally suitable without a frame (e.g., gallery‑wrapped canvases). Artists are required to provide framing as requested to ensure consistency and professional presentation across the exhibition.

    Image Quality & Authenticity: To ensure submissions accurately reflect each piece, images should showcase the artwork in its full depth, texture, and detail. Displaying the piece on a wall helps prevent flat or distorted representation. Photographs should capture the full dimension and presence of the artwork, maintaining authenticity and a faithful representation.

    • I hold full copyright to the work and grant Blue Water Fine Art Gallery permission to display and promote it for the duration of the exhibition.

    • The artwork has not been created using AI generated imagery or tools.

    • The artwork has not been previously exhibited at Blue Water Fine Art Gallery.

    • Artwork is available for exhibition and sale during the full exhibition period.

    • I agree to the exhibition dates, drop off and pickup requirements, and the gallery’s 60/40 commission structure.
