Judging and Competition Policies
Judges’ Decisions:
The decisions of the judges are final and not subject to appeal.
No Award:
The judges reserve the right to withhold an award if no contestant meets the required standard.
Ties:
In the event of a tie, the corresponding prize will be shared equally among the tied contestants.
Judge Comments:
Individual feedback or comments regarding a contestant’s performance will not be provided.
Previous First Prize Winners:
Previous First Prize winners may not compete again in the same age and instrument category.
Video Usage and Release
Video Release:
By submitting performance videos to the competition, contestants grant KAMSA permission to use, reproduce, distribute, and modify the videos for public display of the contestants’ performances on KAMSA’s competition website, social media, promotional materials, and other competition-related promotional purposes.
Release of Claims:
By submitting an application, contestants agree to release and hold harmless KAMSA, its judges, directors, staff, and volunteers from any claims, liabilities, or actions arising out of or related to the contestant’s participation in the competition, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
