Worcester City Council and the Friends of Laugherne Brook Local Nature Reserve would like your help in naming the public park between Hawkwood Crescent and Oldbury Road (see map below). The park is opposite the location of the old Coppertops pub, which closed in 2017.
This park is registered and protected as a Queen Elisabeth II Fields In Trust site, commemorating the late monarch's diamond jubilee. The green space has been valued by the local community for hundreds of years and is thought to have been the location of Ambrose Mill.
The park features a play area and is an important home for wildlife, partly thanks to the Laugherne Brook flowing through it (the name "laugherne" is derived from the Celtic word for fox).
