  •

Y Not is a 4-day music festival held in the Peak District. We are proud of the community that has developed around the show over the years and we’re proud of the work we have done to ensure Y Not is an inclusive, accessible and safe space.

That said, due to our remote location, the changeable weather and topography of the land, there are sometimes limitations in what we can achieve at Y Not. We know we’re not perfect, but we are committed to learning from and engaging with our access community to ensure we continue to produce a show that best meets the needs of those access customers who attend.

We hope that the below information on our application process and the information on our onsite facilities on our access webpage empowers you to make the right decision as to whether or not you think Y Not is the right festival for you to attend, based on your own individual needs.

  •  HOW TO BOOK ACCESSIBLE FACILITIES

    THE NIMBUS ACCESS CARD

We are pleased to be working with Nimbus Disability, utilising their Access Card Scheme to provide a more streamlined process to communicate your access needs for Y Not. The Access Card is a universal way of conveying your access requirements and makes use of 9 different, easy to understand symbols that discreetly highlight the barriers you face and the reasonable adjustments you may need. You can read more about the symbols and how they are allocated by the Nimbus Disability team on their website.

Nimbus offers two different versions of the Access Card:

    1. A free ‘Y Not Digital Access Pass’ that can be used specifically to apply for accessible facilities at Y Not Festival

    2. A £15 physical Access Card that can be used at various other festivals, venues and attractions across the UK

Y Not is committed to building an event that is as accessible as possible and we want to ensure we can understand and effectively meet the diverse needs of our access community. By working with Nimbus Disability and their recognised and award-winning Access Card Scheme we believe we can provide a more consistent and reliable way to assess and accommodate the access requirements of the Y Not community.

HOW WE USE THE NIMBUS ACCESS CARD

The Access Card is a universal way of conveying your access requirements and makes use of 9 different, easy to understand symbols that discreetly highlight the barriers you face and the reasonable adjustments you may need.

We then work in collaboration with Nimbus Disability to map these symbols against the accessible facilities that we have available on site.

    HOW TO APPLY

If you’re planning to attend Y Not and require access support, you must complete our application process in advance.

In order to begin the application process you must first have both:

    1. A Nimbus Access Card – you can either apply for a free ‘Y Not Digital Access Pass’ which is only valid for Y Not or, you can pay £15 for a physical Access Card that can be used across the country.

    2. A valid Y Not festival ticket. If you have yet to purchase a valid festival ticket you can do so via our ticket page. https://ynotfestival.com/tickets

Once you have both of the above, you must then complete the Y Not Access Application Form.

APPLICATIONS WILL CLOSE ON THE 30TH OF APRIL 2026

We will endeavour to supply you with a response to your application within two weeks of it being submitted.

If you have any questions about the information provided below or the festival in general please contact the Access Team via email.
