    2025-2026 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT

  • Emergency Home Repair can provide a grant for minor home repairs that, if neglected, pose a potential health and safety threat. Typical repair projects include: roof repairs, bathroom repairs, ADA accessibility improvements, correction of faulty electrical systems, individual septic system repairs, and individual culinary water hook-up repairs. Repairs are made to address hazardous conditions and help keep low- to moderate-income families in safe living conditions.

    PLEASE NOTE - homes within logan city limits or mobile homes are not elligible.

    Below is our Income guide based on your county and household size. If your income exceeds this number, you may not be eligible for this program.

  • If your project is a roof repair project, indicate the severity of the problem as follows

  • Please Read the booklet "Protect Your Family from Lead in Your Home." 

    After reading the booklet at the end of this application it will provide you with the Certification of receipt. Please sign and date showing you read the booklet.

  • A copy of this application will be emailed to you for your records and future reference.

    Once you application has been received and approved BRAG staff will reach out to schedule a breif inspection of your home.

    Once you receive notification of funding you will have three (3) weeks (after notification date) to secure two (2) bids from licensed contractors. When you arrange for contractors to come to your home to bid on the job, have them bring a copy of their current contractor's license. Submit the bids and copies of the licenses to BRAG. If we do not receive the two bids after the allotted three-week period (or hear from you otherwise), you will forfeit the awarded funds.

    BRAG will contact you and let you know when you can have the contractor begin work. Once the work is complete have the contractor address the bill to you, not the BRAG Office. Get a copy of the invoice to the BRAG office. BRAG will schedule a quick on-site inspection to ensure the work was done properly, and then pay the BRAG portion of the bill. You are responsible for the payment of costs above the BRAG committed portion.
