27th Annual Family & Private Business Awards Application Form

Application Process
This year, applicants will not be asked to select a specific award category or Best Practice.

Instead, we invite businesses to simply tell their story.

Applicants will be asked to share:
- There: Where did you begin? What shaped your early path?
- Here: Where are you today? What milestones or decisions defined your growth?
- What's Next: Where are you going? What are you building toward?
While the Goering Center's Ten Best Practices continue to guide our evaluation process, applicants are not required to write toward a specific practice. However, we encourage you to reflect on how strong leadership, governance, strategy, planning, culture, or stewardship have influenced your journey.

Judges will thoughtfully discern the principles reflected within each submission.

Application Deadline: May 15, 2026

Word Limit: 1,500 words maximum

Bullet points are welcome. Professional writing is not required. Authenticity matters most.
