American Red Cross and Love Your Block Emergency Preparedness class: Red Cross be Ready

We believe its important for every resident to know what to do during a weather related disaster. All community members are welcome to attend the class but only those within our target neighborhoods are eligible to receive a To-Go bag Emergency Preparedness Kit. If you would like to attend one of our but are not able available for one of the time slots, please indicate on the form below and we will coordinate with you separately. All participants are required to stay for the entire duration to receive credit.
The following neighborhoods will receive the highest priority for the emegency preparedness kit : Arbor Hill, West Hill, North Albany, and the South End.

We understand that many issues and needs of residents do not stay strictly within neighborhood boundaries, any resident or project within the City limits of Albany is welcome to apply.
Benefits of Emergency Preparedness class:

We will cover different topic to raise awareness on some emergency matter such as: Floading, Extreme Heat, Thunderstorm, Hurricane, Tornadoes or Snow Storm. Being aware on how to act and react in those case scenarios is some benefits that we are trying to spread in the city of Albany. The emergency kit include various items that will help with this type of emergency.
