  • Congratulations on your acceptance to THE University of Florida!
    It's GREAT to be a Florida Gator!

    All applications must be submitted ONLINE.

    Printed/mailed applications will not be considered for scholarship.

  • Have ALL of the following ready to be submitted when you complete the online application in order for your application to be considered:

    1. Completed and signed application.
    2. An official High School transcript.
    3. Proof of SAT (including all categories) and/or ACT Scores (College Board or BrowardSchools.com Student Graduation Info printouts suffice)
    4. Proof of Community Service Hours (if public school, this information is typically on your transcript, so additional documentation is not needed; however, if your school is private, you may need to provide signed documentation, verification, or letters from volunteering entities).
    5. At least one Recommendation Form specific for this scholarship from someone within your school (i.e. teacher, guidance counselor). Using BCGC Reference Form document.
    6. At least one Recommendation Form specific for this scholarship from someone outside your school (i.e., not school related). Using BCGC Reference Form document.
    7. Proof of Acceptance to the University of Florida including UFID# (can be a copy or screenshot of your acceptance letter)
    8. A brief, typewritten statement discussing why you decided to attend The University of Florida, your goals and how you plan to achieve them, and why you believe you should receive this scholarship. Add anything you think will be helpful to the Scholarship Committee in its consideration of your application. Please limit to two (2) pages total, double-spaced, and size twelve (12) font.

     

    Please DO NOT submit all items as a single PDF. Please submit each component separately with the file name in the format: "Last name, First Initial - ITEM"

    Example: "Alligator, A - Transcript" or "Alligator, A - SAT Score"

    Scholarship winners will be notified by late April.


    All scholarship proceeds will be disbursed to the recipient's financial accounts at the University of Florida after the drop/add deadline in the Fall.
