Volunteering Hawke's Bay People's Choice Excellence Awards 2026

Volunteering Hawke's Bay are calling out for nominations for this years Excellence Awards 2026.

The categories are:

* Individual, a person who through voluntary service has made an outstanding difference.

* Organisation working in the voluntary sector that is recognised as going above and beyond in service to our community and region.

* Youth Changemaker, an individual aged 12-24 who though voluntary service is driving positive social change and inspiring others.

We appreciate your participation in support of volunteering excellence!
Eligibility Criteria
- Any individual or organisation/group can make a nomination.
- Being a member organisation or group with Volunteering Hawke's Bay is not compulsory (however we encourage you to join us).
- You can only nominate one individual, one organisation/group and one Youth Changemaker, that you consider excellent/outstanding.
- Your nominated organisation/group must be not-for-profit or volunteer-based and be able to have a representative at our Awards presentation in Napier on 13th June 2026, 5.30 - 7.30pm.
- Nominees must give their approval to be nominated by you and be able to attend our Awards presentation, as above.
- Volunteer work must have been carried out within Hawke’s Bay in the previous 12 months.
- Nominators must gain the acceptance from all nominees, that information, stories and pictures of outstanding volunteer work nominated for an Award may be shared by Volunteering Hawke's Bay at our events, on various mediums and media platforms.
- Trustees of Volunteering Hawke's Bay will determine a list of up to 8 finalists in each category with the winner being determined by the public via voting advertised through various mediums.
