Qualifications for Nominees:
- Minimum of 5 years physical education teaching experience at respective level
- Demonstrates evidence of being an exemplary physical education teacher providing a quality physical education program
- Serves as a positive role model
- Utilizes a variety of teaching strategies and uses innovative learning experiences to meet individual student needs
- Conducts a balanced and sequential curriculum
- Assumes responsibilities for his/her professional growth
- Is a current member of SCAHPERD/SCAPES.
- Is a current member of SHAPE America or agrees to become a member of if selected as SCAPES TOY.
