London Marathon 2027 Application

Thank you for your interest in running the 2027 TCS London Marathon for Cardiff & Vale Health Charity. This application form is your chance to tell us about yourself and why you'd like to run the London Marathon for Cardiff & Vale Health Charity, and raise funds for our Make It Better appeal.

Please try to give us as much detail as you can, including your fundraising plans to reach the agreed target of £2500, and reasons for applying via Cardiff & Vale Health Charity. This will help us decide if we are able to offer you one of our four charity places.

Closing date for applications is 31 May 2026. Once submitted, you will receive an acknowledgement of your submission, and the outcome of your application will be confirmed early June 2026.

Please use the section below to tell us about your fundraising plans and ambitions to help us decide if we can offer you a place on our team.

We have set the individual fundraising target as £2500. Please make sure to let us know how you aim to reach this target in the section below. We will use this information to help us select runners for our team, so please tell us as much as you can about your fundraising ambitions and plans.

In addition to your sponsorship from family and friends, please consider fundraising in your workplace (if applicable) (including matched funding), support from any clubs or community groups you may be involved with, and any fundraising events or activities you may be planning.

We will send you a link to a team online giving platform if your application is successful, to set up your personal fundraising page.

How did you hear about our Charity running spaces?

By submitting this form, you confirm that you will be at least 18 years of age on the date of the London Marathon 2027, are in good health and well enough to participate, and know of no reasons why you shouldn't participate in physical activity.

If offered a place, you will be happy to pledge to raise the fundraising target of £2500 as a minimum (excluding Gift Aid) for the Cardiff & Vale Health Charity Make It Better appeal, with 50% of this total being raised by 31st January 2027. This milestone is set to help you stay on track to reach your target. If you are unable to reach this milestone, Cardiff & Vale Health Charity reserves the right to release the place to a different runner.

To secure your place you will be asked to submit a £100 non-refundable deposit payment, this can be made as a donation to your online giving platform to get you going on your fundraising journey.
