Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to participation in Live Sessions, the open mic night event operated by That Studio Group in collaboration with Baxters Live (“the Event”). By registering for or attending the Event, all performers and attendees (“you”) agree to comply with these Terms.
2. Age Requirement (18+ Event)
Live Sessions is strictly an 18+ event.
All performers and attendees must be 18 years of age or older. Valid photo identification may be required upon entry to the venue.
That Studio Group and Baxters Live reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone unable to provide proof of age.
3. Event Overview
Live Sessions is an open mic night hosted by That Studio Group and held at Baxters Live.
The Event provides performers with the opportunity to present live music in a professional live venue environment.
Each performer must:
•Prepare 2–3 songs for performance
•Understand that final song numbers may be reduced due to time constraints or event scheduling
•Be prepared to perform two- three songs unless otherwise advised on the night
•Utilise live accompaniment where applicable (encouraged)
Performance spots are limited and must be secured via the official registration link. Registration does not guarantee a performance slot unless confirmed.
4. Registration & Attendance
•Performers must register in advance to secure a performance slot.
•Performers must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their allocated time slot.
•Late arrival may result in forfeiture of the performance opportunity.
•Performance order is determined by That Studio Group and may be adjusted at the organiser’s discretion.
5. Venue & Conduct
Live Sessions is designed to be a supportive and inclusive performance space.
All performers and attendees must:
•Behave respectfully toward others, staff, and venue property
•Follow all directions from event staff and Baxters Live venue management
•Comply with all venue policies and licensing regulations
Bullying, harassment, discrimination, intoxicated misconduct, or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated. That Studio Group and Baxters Live reserve the right to remove any individual from the Event if necessary.
6. Health & Safety
Participants must follow all safety instructions provided by staff and venue management.
In the event of an emergency, venue procedures will be followed.
7. Personal Belongings & Equipment
Performers are responsible for their own instruments and personal belongings.
That Studio Group and Baxters Live accept no liability for loss, theft, or damage to personal property brought to the Event.
8. Photography, Video & Media
Photos and videos may be taken during Live Sessions for promotional and archival purposes.
By attending the Event, you consent to being photographed or filmed unless you notify That Studio Group in writing prior to the event.
9. Fees, Cancellations & Refunds
•Registration fees (if applicable) secure your performance slot.
•No refunds will be provided for change of mind or non-attendance.
•Refunds may be considered in exceptional circumstances at the organiser’s discretion.
•That Studio Group reserves the right to modify or cancel the Event due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., venue issues or safety concerns). In such cases, reasonable alternatives or refunds will be offered.
10. Liability
That Studio Group takes all reasonable steps to provide a safe and professional event environment.
Except where required by law, That Studio Group is not liable for injury, loss, or damage suffered during the Event. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
11. Agreement
By registering for or attending Live Sessions, you confirm that you are 18 years or older and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
