    NMAC HBCU SCHOLARSHIP

    The North Manhattan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated located in New York, NY is awarding a one-time scholarship award of $2,000 to an African American female student in need of financial assistance. We recommend setting aside time to complete this application in one sitting.

    Eligibility: 

    • Must be an African American Female 
    • Must be pursuing a 4-year degree from an accredited Historically Black College or University 
    • Must be a current Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior (Sorors of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated are eligible to apply)
    • Permanent residence must be in New York City
    • Must have a GPA of 2.75 or higher 

    Application Requirements:

    • Official Transcript 
    • Enrollment Verification 
    • Resume
    • Personal Statement 
    • Two letters of Recommendation from a profession, employer, community service organization, etc.  Letters of recommendation should be uploaded to your application. An email will also be sent directly to your recommender(s). 
    • Copy of state license or other official government ID with address indicating permanent residence in New York City.

    THE APPLICATION AND ALL MATERIALS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY APRIL 14, 2026. ANY APPLICATION AND MATERIALS SUBMITTED AFTER THIS DATE WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
