    There's lots going on at the gallery this month! We are so delighted to be offering a series of workshops and art-making sessions led by Queen's writer in residence Ani Castillo and student artist Ashleigh Barnes (Dwelling In Delusion, Feature Wall).

    All of these programs take place in person at Union Gallery and are free + open to anyone in the community who would like to join us. However, certain workshops have a capacity limit, so please be sure to RSVP below.

    Free-For-All Art Supply Swap (Craft Edition!)

    Drop-in event, no RSVP required

    Do you have art supplies sitting around unused/unloved/neglected? Come find them a new home with friends in the community! This time, we're focusing on craft supplies, some of which will be repurposed for Ashleigh Barnes' workshops later this month.

    Cartooning From The Heart w. Ani Castillo

    Join Ani Castillo, Queen's writer in residence and former cartoonist for Toronto Star and other Canadian and Mexican newspapers for a workshop on creativity, self-expression, joy and self-love! She is the author of 3 illustrated books and is working on a graphic novel with Penguin Random House. Ani loves to teach how to use the process of making cartoons as a path of connection with our inner voice, wisdom and creativity.

    The Boyfriend Audit w. Ani Castillo

    During this event, you can audit your: girlfriend, boyfriend, partner, ex, lover, etc. and learn about your patterns! Get clarity about your relationships! Connect with humans! Ani Castillo is the author of 3 books and is currently working on her dating memoir: Dating As A Fellow Human with Penguin Random House. She strongly believes in the power of healthy love and has distilled her wealth of experiences into this audit. Join us on this journey of exploration and love!

    Craft Circle (Slumber Party Theme!) w. Ashleigh Barnes

    We're throwing a pyjama party! Join us for a relaxed and welcoming evening focused on creativity, conversation, and connection. Whether you knit, collage, sew, or felt, feel free to bring a craft and unwind. Facilitated by Dwelling in Delusion artist Ashleigh Barnes.

    Ribbon-Making Workshop w. Ashleigh Barnes

    Registration required

    Come and craft with us! Spend the evening creating in a space centered around care—for the environment, ourselves, and each other. This session with Ashleigh Barnes will be focused on self-love, affirmations, and wearable art, transforming everyday items into cute, fashionable ribbons.
