Register as a host for the Backyard Art Fair, provide your hosting address, and list the artists vending at your location.

Backyard Art Fair
Saturday, May 9th, 2026 | 11am–6pm
Rain Date: Sunday, May 10th

🏡 HOST REQUIREMENTS
Must host within the show boundaries at a residential address
(Scotia to Hilton, 8 Mile to 10 Mile)
Must curate your own yard.
Hosts are responsible for the artists participating at their location.
Must have at least 3 artists per house (preferably space for 4+), unless approved by organizers prior to application.

HOSTS WHO ARE VENDING MUST FILL OUT BOTH VENDOR & HOST FORMS

The host of each house is responsible for collecting payments for artists in each yard.

🎨 ARTIST REQUIREMENTS
You must secure and confirm your host house before applying.
Must maintain an active online presence (Instagram, Facebook, or website).
(Approximately 80% of event marketing is done via social media.)
Must participate in at least one organized show per year (farmers markets, art fairs, craft shows, gallery exhibitions, online group shows, etc.).
Must follow Backyard Art Fair on social media (Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
Must provide 2–3 photos of your work for use on social media and the website.
Must communicate with your host prior to applying and during the event weekend.
Artists are responsible for handling their own sales, receipts, and taxes.

NO LATE ADD-ONS OR UNJURRIED ARISTS

NO AI ART, VINTAGE, BUY/SELL, UNAUTHORIZED FOOD TRUCKS ARE ALLOWED. HANDMADE ONLY. The BYAF jury has the right to refuse any art we deem unfit.

⚠️ LIABILITY
Backyard Art Fair is not liable for injury, theft, loss, or damage to property.

Hosts and artists are responsible for their own property, insurance, and protection of their artwork.

💲BOOTH FEE
$40 per maker (including hosts who are vending, nonvending hosts pay $0)

Your vendor fee includes:

Yard sign for each location
Printed pamphlets
Digital event map listing all participating artists
Artist blurb on the website
Promotion across all Backyard Art Fair social platforms
Inclusion in any/all media opportunities
Coverage of Backyard Art Fair operating costs
