Article II - Casual Sales
Sec. 66-31 - Conditions of Licensing
1. Three sales are permitted per household per year. Each license issued will be valid for five (5) consecutive days from the start date, even if you plan to hold the sale for less than five (5) days.
2. The second and third license can be applied for after thirty (30) days.
3. A license fee of five ($5.00) dollars for the first sale and ten ($10.00) for each subsequent sale.
4. No person shall conduct, advertise or promote any sale regulated by this article without a license issued pursuant to this article.
5. The license authorizing a sale shall be displayed in the front window of the home, and on all signs, or other prominent places that are clearly visible from the street, at each location where the sale is being conducted.
6. The licensee and the property owner or tenant are jointly responsible for maintaining order and proper conduct on the premise during all hours of the sale. No one may allow loud, disruptive, or disorderly behavior on the premises, nor may they allow vehicles to block or interfere with traffic on nearby roads or streets. All individuals present must comply with orders given by police or fire personnel to ensure the protection of public health, safety and welfare.
