Middle School Summer Band (June 8th-12th)

Open to all CURRENT 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. This is not the BEGINNER program.
The Middle School Summer Band will combine students of all instruments and all grade levels (current 6th, 7th, and 8th grade) from East AND West Middle Schools together in one large group. This will be an exciting opportunity to perform fun and popular music in a large ensemble setting.

This ensemble will be conducted by high school directors Mr. Kaflik and Mr. Roush! It will be a great way to meet students from other grades, other instruments, and to get a taste of what the future of band will look and sound like!

Middle School Summer Band will meet at Brownsburg HIGH SCHOOL from 8:30-10:00am running Monday through Friday from June 8-12. Specific drop-off and door information will be emailed home before the beginning of camp. Please email Ed Roush(eroush@brownsburg.k12.in.us) with any questions.

The class fee is $100, and may be paid with credit card at the end of this form. PLEASE NOTE: Class fee is $100 regardless of days or weeks missed. The $100 fee can also be made via check made payable to BBOP. Please turn that check into a band director in a sealed envelope.

We will host a final concert on June 12 at 7:00pm at Brownsburg High School.

REMINDERS

Brass and Woodwind players should bring their own instruments to rehearsal each day. Students who play large school-owned instruments should arrange to bring those instruments to the high school on the first day and to take them home (or back to the middle school) on the last day of Summer Band. We will work with the middle school directors to ensure that this process is smooth and simple.

Percussionists should bring a personal pair of snare sticks to rehearsal every day. Other mallets and all instruments will be provided from the high school.
