BALTIC SHORTS RESIDENCY is an intensive script development residency for short films, dedicated to filmmakers from the Baltic countries. The program provides selected scriptwriters and directors with the opportunity to develop a new short film script in close collaboration with script consultant Anna Ciennik, in a focused working environment at the historic Trakų Vokė Manor in Vilnius.
Eligible applicants - film directors and/or scriptwriters who are citizens of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania or have a right of a permanent residence in these mentioned countries.
Applicant must have finished at least one short film project (as a scriptwriter or a director) and must be developing a new project which is:
- fiction, animation, hybrid (documentary is not eligible)
- stand-alone short film (not TV series)
- in early script development stage
- up to 30 minutes
- aimed at international audience
One applicant can submit more than one short film project. Projects that were submitted to the previous editions of Baltic Shorts Residency are not eligible.
The application form and additional material must be prepared in English. All materials must be merged into a single PDF file, named [Country_Project Title in English], and uploaded to this application form.
