In partnership with Bridge Street Theatre, CREATE IN PROCESS—a series of informal artist-centered meetups—presents gatherings for performing artists to meet and collaborate on the creative process. These meetups are designed to support sharing work, exchanging ideas, and building connections.
Whether you are preparing for an audition or a show, you haven’t performed in a while, or maybe it’s your first time–come perform on a stage under the spotlight!
All gatherings are free and open to the public. All backgrounds, ages, disciplines, and experience levels are welcome—come present, respond, or simply listen.
ABOUT OPEN PRACTICE (Performance)
Open Practice offers a space for community members to perform in front of a live audience. Participants are encouraged to prepare a piece that you’ve been practicing and want to have a low stakes run through on stage to get performance-ready in the company of fellow local artists. Pieces do not need to be original. Five performer slots are available, each with up to four minutes of stage time.
ABOUT ACTIVE AUDIENCE (Performance + feedback)
Active Audience invites participants to share works-in-progress in a supportive, feedback-driven setting. Pieces do not need to be original—just something you’d like input on. Five performer slots are available, each with up to four minutes of stage time, followed by a brief Q&A and audience feedback. We can't wait to experience and chat about what you've been working on + rehearsing!
