  • Submission Guidelines

  • 1️⃣ Image Quality:

    • Upload images at the highest resolution possible.

    • Minimum standard: 300 dpi JPEG files.

    • Do not compress or reduce file size before submission.

    • Original, full-resolution files are strongly preferred.

    2️⃣ Names & Faces:Images may be included in the archive:

    • With names and faces recognizable.

    OR

    • The images in the archive have identifying details blurred or pixelated.

    • The archive team will discuss presentation options with you before any public display.

    • You will have final approval on how your images are shown.

    3️⃣ Images Containing Minors:

    • A signed model release will be required.

    • Exception: If the image qualifies as public domain. Public Domain Definition: Public domain images are not restricted by copyright and may be freely used, shared, and modified without permission or royalties. Examples include:• Works published in the U.S. before 1929.• Works created by U.S. federal employees as part of official duties.• Images explicitly released into the public domain by the creator.

    • If you are unsure whether your image qualifies, the archive team will review it with you.

    4️⃣ Copyright:You must have the legal right to submit the image.

    *ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL NEED TO SIGN A CONTRIBUTOR AGREEMENT BEFORE ANY SUBMISSION IS MADE PUBLIC. THIS WILL BE EMAILED SEPARATELY.
