Summer Discovery Camp for students entering Kindergarten through 8th grades
South Lake Schools is excited to announce our expanded summer camps in partnership with the United Way of Southeast Michigan and the Ballmer Group.

Students enrolled in South Lake Schools in grades kindergarten through 8th grade can take advantage of these camps that include an instructional program in the morning and enrichment activities in the afternoons.

All camps will be housed at Elmwood Elementary School, located at 22700 California Street, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080, and will run from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Camp Information

Location: Elmwood Elementary School - 22700 California Street, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080

Program Dates: July 6, 2026 - August 7, 2026, Monday - Friday

Time: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Camp Offerings:
- KinderConnect - Students entering Kindergarten
- First Fundamentals - Students entering 1st grade
- Camp is currently full. Student can be added to waitlist. STEM & Literacy Camp - Entering 2nd - 5th grades
- Summer Scholars Camp - Students entering 2nd - 5th grades
- RISE Summer Camp - Students entering 6th - 8th grades
Students will be provided with breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack daily.

Please note: Along with assessments, your child will be asked to complete a post-survey after the program so that we can evaluate any program-related successes and challenges this year in order to continue to improve Summer Discovery to best serve all students and families. No further action is required to provide consent for your child to participate. If you would prefer that your child not participate, please notify Amyre Smith at asmith@solake.org confirming you would like to opt-out of student surveys.
