  • HEADS UP VET, a national coalition led by Veterans Collaborative, brings together community organizations, technology partners, and philanthropic leaders to improve awareness, screening, and support for Veterans experiencing undiagnosed head injury.

    To become a Coalition Partner, please complete the form below. Potential Coalition Partners will receive an invitation to attend a Coalition Information Session. Attendance at one Coalition Information Session is required to join the coalition.

    Sessions are hosted the first Wednesday of every month, at noon EST.

    Community Partner: Nonprofit organizations, academic institutions, and mission-driven organizations with subject matter expertise and/or direct engagement with military and veteran populations.

    Ambassador Partner: Emerging mission-driven nonprofit organizations actively providing direct services, programs, or community engagement to Veterans, service members, and military families.

    Philanthropic Partner: Organizations, foundations, corporations, or individuals who support the mission of HEADS UP VET through financial contributions or in-kind support.

    Government Partner: Federal, state, or local government representatives participating in the coalition on behalf of their agencies.

    Clinical Partner: Healthcare providers, clinicians, and medical or behavioral health organizations with expertise in brain health, head injury, or related conditions.

    Other: For organizations or individuals interested in participating in the coalition in ways not captured above.

  • Community and Ambassador Partners:

  • Community Partner: Community Partners contribute knowledge, programming, and local ecosystem collaboration that strengthens awareness, screening, and support for Veterans experiencing undiagnosed head injury.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • Organization in good standing as a 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), or 501(c)(6)
    • Minimum annual revenue of $50,000
    • Operational for at least two years
    • Listed on GuideStar / Candid or Charity Navigator

    Ambassador Partner: Ambassadors help advance local awareness, education, and resource navigation within their communities and serve as trusted connectors to the HEADS UP VET ecosystem.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • Organization in good standing as a 501(c)(3) public charity
    • Listed on GuideStar / Candid or Charity Navigator

    Government partners help align public resources, research, and policy engagement with community-driven solutions to improve Veteran brain health and early support systems.

    Clinical Partners: Healthcare providers, clinicians, and medical or behavioral health organizations with expertise in brain health, head injury, or related conditions.

    Eligible organizations include:

    • Licensed clinical providers (individual or organizational)
    • Healthcare systems, clinics, or private practices
    • Behavioral health and rehabilitation providers

    Criteria:

    • Appropriate licensure and credentials in good standing
    • Experience serving military and/or veteran populations preferred
    • Commitment to evidence-informed practices and collaboration

  • Coalition Partner Roles and Expectations

  • HEADS UP VET A Veteran Coalition is a working coalition focused on advancing early detection, awareness, coordination, and systems-level solutions related to Veteran and military-connected undiagnosed head unjury and brain wellness.

    Veterans Collaborative serves as the convener, backbone organization, and administrative lead for the Coalition. VC is responsible for coalition governance, strategy alignment, coordination, compliance, and infrastructure.

    HEADS UP VET Coalition Partners play a collaborative role in advancing early detection, prevention, and coordinated care for service members, Veterans, and their families. Participation is flexible and voluntary, allowing each organization to engage in ways that align with its mission, capacity, and priorities.

    HEADS UP VET Coalition Partners Roles and Expectations may include:

    • Early Detection & Pathways to Care
      Support the deployment and use of coordinated screening, assessment, and referral tools that improve early identification and timely access to care.
    • Community Engagement & Trust
      Strengthen relationships within the Veteran and military community by fostering sustained participation, responsive support, and a spirit of good-faith collaboration.
    • Recognition & Awareness
      Help elevate public understanding of brain health and related challenges through shared messaging, storytelling, and outreach.
    • Advancing Coalition Priorities
      Contribute to collective impact through shared learning, coordinated action, and the pursuit of measurable outcomes.
    • Learning & Collaboration
      Participate, as able, in periodic meetings, briefings, and working sessions (virtual or in person), and support thought leadership, pilot initiatives, and cross-sector alignment.
    • Education & Support
      When appropriate, offer education and training to internal and external stakeholders, including staff, board members, constituents, and local communities.

    Engagement is voluntary, and the level of participation may evolve over time based on each member’s capacity and interests.

  • Participation in the HEADS UP VET Coalition Partner does not constitute endorsement by Veterans Collaborative or any Coalition Partner of any specific organization, product, service, or policy position.

    Coalition Partners certify their organization is a legally formed entity operating in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. You further certify that your organization does not knowingly provide material support, funding, or resources to any individual or organization that is prohibited under U.S. law, including those listed on the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) List or any other applicable sanctions or restricted parties lists.

    You acknowledge and agree that all information submitted through Coalition Partner form is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You understand that Veterans Collaborative does not sell or monetize data and that participation in HEADS UP VET does not create a fiduciary, agency, or legal partnership relationship.

    You further acknowledge that Veterans Collaborative reserves the right to review, suspend, or remove organizations from HEADS UP VET Coalition Partner if information is found to be inaccurate or if participation is inconsistent with legal, regulatory, or program requirements.

    You certify that you are authorized to make this attestation on behalf of your organization.
