ESSAY DETAILS:

There are two sections for this application. The first section is focused on social justice and the second is focused on financial education.

Section 1:What does social justice mean to you and what impact do you plan to make in the community regarding social justice issues when you graduate? Using the guidelines below, choose one option to answer the question in essay format.

Option 1 - Start with defining social justice and what it means to you. Who in your community inspires you to support social justice? What social justice issue(s) do they advocate for? How do you plan to continue their work after you graduate?     

Option 2 - Start with defining social justice and what it means to you. Think of a time/event where social justice impacted your community. What made that moment a social justice issue? How do you plan to invoke positive change in your community regarding social justice issues when you graduate? 

Section 2: Please take a moment to visit the https://mycreditunion.gov/learning-resources/learning-tools Learning Tools section to explore available financial education resources. After reviewing the tools, please answer the following questions:

Which specific tool or resource from the Learning Tools section did you find most helpful, and why? How do you plan to use this tool to manage your finances more effectively while attending college? Provide a brief explanation of how the resource you selected can help you build a solid foundation for financial success.
