Miss Earth Day Kern County Mini Pageant - Application Form
Thank you for your interest in the inaugural Miss Earth Day Kern County recognition.

Presented in partnership with Earth Day 661, Green Clean Pros and The Miss Kern County Scholarship Organization - this sustainability centered recognition celebrates environmental stewardship, intentional leadership and community impact through a recycled fashion experience.

As this is our inaugural year, three participants will be selected per four age divisions to take part in the 2026 Recycled Fashion Showcase and Crowning Ceremony at the Earth Day 661 Festival.

This experience is intentionally curated to create a meaningful and elevated first cohort of Miss Earth Day participants.

No prior pageant or modeling experience is required.

Young: 4 - 8

Junior: 9 -12

Teen: 13 - 17

Miss: 18 - 25

*Application submissions will close on Friday, April 17 at 6 am pst. Contestants will be notified of moving on to participate in the Earth Day 661 Festival on Friday, April 17 by 8 am pst.

Selected Applicant Requirements
Applicantions will be reviewed upon submission. Up to 3 applicants from each of the four age divisions will be selected to move forward and participate in the Recycled Fashion Showcase and mini pagaent at the Earth Day 661 Festival on April 18, 2026 at 11 am in Bakersfield, CA.

Selected participants will be required to:

• take part in the Recycled Fashion Showcase at Earth Day 661
• attend the crowning ceremony

Final judging will be based on:

• application responses
• recycled fashion concept
• leadership presence
• sustainability alignment

Full guidelines will be provided to selected participants.
Recycled Fashion Requirements
Selected participants must create or curate an outfit incorporating recycled, repurposed or upcycled materials.

Examples include:

• thrifted or secondhand garments
• reclaimed textiles
• repurposed household materials
• existing clothing

Focus is on creativity, storytelling and sustainability - not professional sewing or modeling experience. Each outfit must be created by the participant.
