                  • IMPORTANT: The amount you must pay to the Secretary at the event is the TOTAL NOMINATION FEE PAYABLE shown above. This total includes the Day Membership Fee if you are not a current RSA financial member.

                  • PARTICIPANT RISK WARNING AND WAIVER

                    By signing below, I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in dangerous recreational activities as defined under relevant Civil Liability Laws, which may result in serious injury, death, or property damage.

                  • RODEO AND ASSOCIATED EVENTS ARE DANGEROUS RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
                    These activities include, but are not limited to; rodeos, rodeo-related activities, campdrafts, stockman’s challenges, gymkhanas, camel races, western horse sports, bush sprint races, and other equestrian events, livestock-related activities, novelty events, sporting activities, entertainment, and any other public or participant-based activities conducted or authorised by the event organiser.

                    I understand and accept the following obvious risks:

                    • That animals can act in sudden, unpredictable, or changeable ways when frightened or hurt

                    • The dangers of falling from, being trampled or kicked by animals

                    • The risk of high-speed mounted activity at height

                    • The risk of equipment failure or unstable, uneven or slippery ground conditions

                    • Other related dangers inherent in such events

                    These risks fall under obvious risks as defined by the Civil Liability Laws of all relevant Australian states and territories.

                  • MEDICAL FITNESS & PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS

                    I confirm that:

                    • I am medically and physically fit to participate

                    • I do not suffer from any pre-existing injuries, illnesses or conditions that could impact my ability to safely participate

                    • I have not been advised by a medical professional to avoid rodeo or contact sports

                    • I accept full responsibility for my fitness to participate
                     

                  • CONDUCT & BEHAVIOUR

                    I agree to:

                    • Follow all event rules and obey directions from event organisers, officials and       stewards

                    • Not participate if injured or impaired in any way

                    • Not consume alcohol or illegal drugs before or during participation

                    • Conduct myself and manage any animal in a safe, controlled and respectful manner

                    • Notify organisers immediately of any injury to myself or my animal

                    • I understand that failure to follow rules or directions may result in immediate removal from the event with no refund.

                    I consent to photos or video of me being used by the NRCA and its affiliates for promotional purposes. Consent may be withdrawn in writing to enquire@nationalrodeocouncil.com.au
