  • TOP TIER TUITION POLICIES


    CANCELATION POLICY
    Students can cancel any time up to 12 hours before the lesson start time with no charge, but any lessons cancelled within 12 hours of the start time can be charged.
    Any lessons that are either cancelled after the start time of the lesson or where the student/parent failed to inform us that a lesson could not take place and thus was absent from the lesson, will be charged at full price. Tutors will wait for the student for 15 minutes at the location of the lesson or in the online classroom, attempt to contact the student via phone call/WhatsApp/email and be able to provide evidence of this.


    CANCELLATION BY STUDENT/PARENT
    The Client/Student may cancel tuition/lessons by giving at least 12 hours before the time of the lesson prior notice to the Tutor in which case no tuition fees will be incurred. Lessons not attended by the student without giving 12 hours prior notice to the tutor shall be charged at the full rate.
    All sessions are to be completed within a 30-day time-frame in accordance with the 1st day sessions began. If sessions are cancelled on the part of the client/student (within the 12-hour policy), a makeup session must be arranged within 7 days or those missed hours will be lost.
    Fees are based upon the student’s undertaking to attend all lessons as stipulated in the schedule above and no discount or refunds shall be given in respect of lessons not attended by the student.


    TERMINATION POLICY
    1 month’s notice is required for tuition termination in writing. If lessons are terminated without notice, no refund will be made and the guardian/parent of the learner will be held legally responsible for the following month’s fees, to be paid immediately on the day of early cancelation or an agreed upon timeframe by both parties. Should the parent wish to resume registration, this outstanding balance would have to be settled first.


    CANCELLATION OF LESSONS BY TUTOR
    The Tutor may cancel lessons by giving 24 hours prior notice to the Client/Student in which case no fees shall be incurred. Where a lesson was pre-paid, the Tutor shall reschedule the appointment at a time agreeable to both parties, failing which the Client/Student shall be refunded with such a missed lesson fee.
    All sessions are to be completed within a 30-day time-frame in accordance with the 1st day sessions began. If sessions are cancelled on the part of the tutor, a makeup session must be arranged within 7 days

    LATE ARRIVAL
    Fees are calculated according to the times stipulated in the schedule and no adjustment shall be made for time lost because of late arrival by the student. Students who arrive late will only be tutored for the remainder of the scheduled session. There will be no prolonged sessions.
    Any lost time because of the late arrival of the Tutor shall be compensated for by extending a lesson by mutual agreement and by such amount of time that was lost.


    NO-SHOW POLICY
    Students who are not present at the pre-determined location when the tutor arrives or who are more
    than 15 minutes late are considered no- shows. If the Student is a no-show, the parent/legal guardian is still responsible for payment for the tutoring session. No discount or refunds shall be given in respect of lessons not attended by the student.
    Pay-per-session clients must present payment for the session which he or she was a no-show and the following session in order for tutoring to continue.


    MISSED SESSIONS
    Because the nature of the tutoring sessions is to improve academic performance it is pertinent that the
    Student attends regularly and on time. If there are 3 or more cancellations or no-shows in any 2-month
    time frame, the client will be charged a R200 Convenience Fee for each 2 month occurrence.


    PAYMENT POLICY

    *Payment of fees is expected before or on the last day of every month.
    *Note the annually updated fees amount.
    *Invoices will be sent out monthly.
    *Late payments will incur a penalty of R300 per late payment and will be added to the following month’s invoice without exception. Tuition lessons will also be suspended until outstanding balances are paid.
    *Lessons will be suspended until payment is made and the suspended time slot will be made available to new registrations without exception.
    *The billing period ends annually on 15 December, if lessons are not used between 1 December and 15 December of the respective registration year, the lessons from this period will be valid till 30 March of the following academic year. The last invoice payment for the respective year is thus due on 30 November.
