Code of Conduct
Please review the following rules and expectations with your child:
- Come prepared for camp with an open mind and positive attitude.
- Use proper manners and language when interacting with staff and other campers. Obscene, discriminatory language and/or name calling will not be tolerated.
- Be respectful of Tampa Bay Watch's educators, property, and resources.
- Respect fellow campers and their property. Tampa Bay Watch's camp is a “safe place” for ideas. We have a zero tolerance policy for bullying.
- Do not bring inappropriate items. Inappropriate items will be confiscated and returned to the parent/guardian.
- Keep your hands to yourself. Fighting will result in immediate removal from camp.
- Learn a lot and have a great time!

Media Release: I grant permission to Tampa Bay Watch Inc. to use, reuse, and/or publish, and republish photographic pictures and/or video reproductions of me and my family obtained during participation in programs and events, as well as any testimonial provided in written or recorded format, or in which we may be distorted in character, or form, in conjunction with our own or fictitious names, on reproductions thereof in color, or black and white made through any media by Tampa Bay Watch or Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center, for any purpose whatsoever; including the use of any printed materials, advertising and online to include social media (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.). I waive any rights I might have to inspect and approve the finished product or its use and further waive any claim for any compensation associated with said use.*

Liability Waiver: I understand that Tampa Bay Watch camps include periodic visits off site or in conjunction with other organizations. I agree to accept full risk and responsibility for my child’s participation in this program and agree to release, hold harmless and indemnify Tampa Bay Watch and all employees, agents, or representatives of the organization in their official and individual capacities from all expenses, attorney fees, claims, or liability whatsoever, including claims based upon such defendants own negligence arising from or related to myself or to my child’s participation in the Tampa Bay Watch camp program. I agree that all affiliates of Tampa Bay Watch shall not be held liable under any circumstances for any injuries or damages, be they physical injuries or otherwise, arising out of or resulting from or in any way associated with my child’s participation in camp.*

Medical Consent: I acknowledge that the given health history is correct and accurately reflects the known health status of the named participant. I grant my child permission to participate in all camp activities except as noted by me and/or an examining physician. I give permission to Tampa Bay Watch staff to provide routine health care, to administer prescribed or over-the-counter medications as described, and to provide or obtain emergency care and transportation for my child if needed. In case of accidental injury, I authorize Tampa Bay Watch staff to seek proper medical attention for my child. I give permission to the physician selected by Tampa Bay Watch staff to order x-rays, tests, and treatment related to my child’s health for emergency situations. If the elected person cannot be reached in an emergency, I give permission to the physician to hospitalize, secure proper treatment for, and order and administer medication, injection, anesthesia, X-rays, special procedures, or surgery, if deemed medically necessary. I understand that I am responsible for the cost of any medical care or prescriptions required. I agree to the release of any records necessary for treatment, referral, billing, or insurance purposes. I understand that information on this form will be shared on a "need to know" basis with Tampa Bay Watch staff.*

Cancellation Refund Policy: If you notify Tampa Bay Watch of your intent to cancel at least ten days before your child's camp session, the camp registration fee will be assessed for a full or partial refund at the camp coordinator’s discretion and a $25 administrative fee will be held against any refunds provided. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than ten business days before your camper’s session start date, if your camper does not show up for their camp session, or if your camper is dismissed from camp by camp staff for behavioral issues. If you have questions about a refund, please email education@tampabaywatch.org. In the event of an unavoidable emergency or medical concern, a full refund will be issued. Tampa Bay Watch reserves the right to modify or discontinue programs due to inclement weather or to maintain safe operations. In in the unlikely event of a cancellation, a full refund will be issued. If you have questions about cancellations and/or refunds please contact education@tampabaywatch.org.*

Nut-Free Policy: Tampa Bay Watch camps are nut-free to maintain a healthy environment for those with severe nut allergies. Tree nut and peanut products of any sort are not permitted at Tampa Bay Watch. This includes, but is not limited to: almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, pecans, peanuts, pine nuts, pistachios, walnuts, and nut butters of these varieties. Please pack your camper’s lunch and snacks accordingly. Please note that Tampa Bay Watch staff reserves the right to withhold any nut product and send items home with the child at the end of the camp day. We greatly appreciate your help to keep our campers safe and healthy.*

Red Tide Policy: Tampa Bay Watch will monitor red tide conditions and adapt programming accordingly. If red tide occurs in low to medium concentrations, camp will continue and be modified to maintain camper safety. If red tide occurs in high concentrations and/or water quality is poor, and we are unable to get into the water or on the boat for the week, we will modify camp to provide quality indoor and outdoor programming. If unable to proceed with water activities, Tampa Bay Watch will allow for a full refund for camp participants if you decide to cancel your registration. However, cancellations must take place at least one week prior to the start of your scheduled camp session in order to receive a refund. Red tide updates and notifications will be sent to parents/guardians via email as necessary. As always, in the unlikely event Tampa Bay Watch has to cancel a camp session, we will do our best to provide timely notification and offer a full refund to all registered campers.*
