Nate Baker Wildcat Memorial Scholarship
Application Deadline April 6, 11:59pm
Nathaniel “Nate” Baker was a quiet kind of hero, not for headlines or recognition, but for the way he showed up every day for others. As a student-athlete, Nate understood commitment, teamwork, and perseverance not only within his sports teams but also within his community. Nate believed in lifting others up. He led with kindness, encouraged his teammates, and made space for everyone to feel seen and valued. Whether helping a teammate improve, offering support during a tough moment, or simply including someone who felt left out, Nate made a lasting impact through small, meaningful actions. His leadership was rooted in humility, his work ethic was unwavering, and his compassion was genuine.
The Nate Baker Wildcat Memorial Scholarship honors a graduating high school senior who exemplifies the character, leadership, and compassion Nate demonstrated each day. As a dedicated multi-sport athlete, Nate believed that success is measured not only by performance, but by how you treat others, show up in everyday moments, and lead with humility and heart.
This scholarship recognizes a student-athlete who reflects those same values: commitment, perseverance, kindness, and leadership, and who positively impacts their team and community. The recipient is someone who strengthens the athletic experience for others through unity, initiative, and thoughtful influence, elevating not only performance but also the spirit and culture of their teams and community.
Applicants must be a multi-sport athlete and maintain a 3.25 overall GPA
