    ⚖️ Selection & Judging Weights
    The scholarship isn't just about having the right grades; it’s a weighted competition. Your final score will be determined as follows:

    Personal Essay (40%): This is the most significant factor. It must effectively communicate your growth and the impact of the program.
    Teacher Recommendation (20%): A focused look at your character. You’ll need a teacher to vouch for your integrity, work ethic, and classroom presence.
    Baseline Requirements (40%)

    To qualify for consideration, candidates must satisfy the following academic and prerequisites:

    Academic Standing: Maintenance of a Grade A average in mathematics.
    Abacus Arithmetic Tenure: A minimum of three years of continuous study, including active participation in the current academic year.
    Enrollment Status: Applicants must be currently enrolled and actively pursuing abacus arithmetic studies.
    Calculative Mastery: Completion of Level 1 in either Abacus or Mental Math is mandatory. Only 1 selection can be applied, Abacus or Mental Math.

    Note: Application eligibility is strictly limited to the specific discipline in which Level 1 proficiency has been attained.

    The Hard Cutoff: No applications will be accepted after March 29th, 2026.
    The "All or Nothing" Rule: Double-check your attachments! Any application with a missing requirement (e.g., a forgotten transcript or a missing recommendation letter) will be automatically rejected without a follow-up.

    1. Participation Records: 3 consecutive years of Assessment Tests including current academic year and actively participation in the current academic year.
    2. Academic Transcript: Proof of your current Grade A in Math.

    4. Character Recommendation: A letter from your teacher specifically addressing your character.

    Big Picture Thinking: How has the discipline of mental math shaped your mindset or habits in other areas of life?
