FCLIR Volunteer Form
FCLIR is a member-run organization. Members develop and run seminars, workshops, and all other programs and opportunities. We serve on Council, on committees, and perform many other tasks, from creating the newsletter to providing technical assistance to speaking with groups of potential members.

If you are not already familiar with our organization, you might like to review the information at fclir.org before completing this form.

Please help us help you to find your place by completing as many sections below as you like. Section 1 lists all of the FCLIR committees and positions.

Sections 2 and 3 are for newer members who aren't sure where their skills might fit. We'll contact you with an opportunity!

- These are standing committees and named positions for FCLIR. Volunteers are expected to serve for a year or longer, barring unforeseen circumstances. FCLIR committees are described in more detail here.
  
  Most committees meet regularly, with members generating ideas, getting to know people, and making things happen.
  
  If you are not ready to join a committee, helping out at one of our events is a one-time commitment that will have you meeting and interacting with other involved members.
- FCLIR Council (meets monthly, good way to learn more about FCLIR)Curriculum Committee (you help to gather and review proposals for seminars and workshops)Communications Committee (publicity, outreach, newsletter, etc)Technical support (members who are available to assist other members with technical problems and/or provide IT assistance to the FCLIR office)Finance Committee (meets 2-5 times a year, review budget)Nominating Committee (This is an annual short-term commitment to ensure there are enough candidates for Council)Initiatives & Activities Committee (includes social events, extracurricular activities, special programs, interest groups, volunteer coordination)Help with Previews (there are 2 Previews per year)Help with hospitality at events (3-4 events per year)
