German Saturday School Community Survey
  • German Saturday School Community Survey

Help us determine the interest in a German Saturday school in your area. Completing the survey will only take 3-4 minutes of your time. If it is unlikely that you would enroll in a German program, the survey will take 30 seconds and still provide valuable data for our comprehensive study.
  • About the School

German faculty members at IUPUI established the Indianapolis German School - Indianapolis Deutschschule in 1983 for families in the community. The school continued until 2020 under the leadership of Dr. Claudia Grossmann. Programs were suspended following Covid and Dr. Grossmann’s retirement. The school now operates as Indianapolis German Language School (a 501c3 non-profit) and is financially supported by IGHS, donations, and parents’ tuition. IGLS remains a traditional Saturday school that brings families together to learn German through meaningful instruction with fun activities, events, and traditions that help children and adults immerse themselves in the German-speaking world. Currently, classes meet at the International School of Indianapolis from 9:30-12 on Saturdays between August and May. (www.ighs.org)
