    All submissions must be submitted by 11:45 pm on May 22, 2026. Please note that all information will be shared as submitted with the nominating committee, board, and VNA membership as needed. To self-nominate for a leadership position, you need to be a current VNA member.

  • Position Descriptions:

    Student Outreach Chair (2 year term to begin on 1/1/2027 and conclude on 12/31/2028)

    • Serve as a liaison between VNA and the VA schools of nursing, chapter leadership, and VNA staff.
    • Help with the Foundation’s annual chapter scholarship and plan your annual chapter student outreach event. Submit event details to VNA.
    • Assign work to committee members, coordinate outreach to local deans and directors in relation to student outreach and coordinate requests to VNA staff for assistance.
    • Foster collaboration and community engagement with the SNAs & local deans in your chapter area and share any new or updated contact information with VNA.

    Government Relations Chair (2 year term to begin on 1/1/2027 and conclude on 12/31/2028)

    • Serve as a liaison between the chapter leadership, partnering nursing organizations, and VNA staff.
    • Help plan your chapter’s advocacy meetings and submit event details to VNA’s Communications and Advocacy Manager.
    • Develop relationships with local legislators.
    • Participate in VNA’s Lobby Day (January), attend the live program or view ondemand VNA's Virtual Legislative Summit (September), and attend the virtual Commission on Government Relations meetings (throughout the year).
