ROOTS Market & Pantry and Seed Theatre are powered by community—and there are so many ways to plug in! Use this form to tell us a little about yourself, what kinds of volunteer work interest you, and when you're free. Whether you want to stock shelves at ROOTS, rescue and sort food, help with community distribution, run tickets at a theatre performance, build a set, work a vendor market, support youth programming, or lend your professional skills behind the scenes, there’s a place for you at Seed.

ROOTS is our barrier-free grocery and basic-needs program, built around a simple belief: everyone deserves access to food and essentials with dignity. Seed Theatre uses arts, mutual aid, education, community programming, and radically welcoming spaces to build a stronger Chattanooga. Our volunteers help make everything from theatrical productions and festivals to support programs and community events possible.

You do not need previous experience to volunteer. We welcome people with different abilities, schedules, backgrounds, and comfort levels, and we'll work to connect you with opportunities that fit.

Please be prepared to recieve an onboarding phone call from our volunteer coordinator, Nolan, who will call from a 423 area code within the week. He will ask some clarifying questions and find the best place for your skills and talents. If the time he calls is inconvieniant, feel free to text him back about your availability.
