CASTING OUT CANCER FISHING TOURNAMENT
Official Tournament Rules
Date: April 25, 2026
Location: Galveston Yacht Marina
Eligibility:
• All anglers must be registered prior to fishing.
• Adults: 13+ Kids Division: 12 & under.
• Participants must follow all Texas Parks & Wildlife regulations.
FishingHours
• Start: 7:00 AM Weigh-In: 3:00 PM SHARP.
• Fish must be in the weigh-in line by 3:00 PM.
Fishing Methods
• Boat, pier, and shore fishing are allowed.
• Rod and reel only. Artificial and live bait permitted.
• No cast nets, traps, or trotlines.
Eligible Species (Big Fish Only)
• Redfish (slot) • Speckled Trout (slot) • Sheepshead
• One fish per species per angler may be weighed.
* Kids division will be longest fish length only (no weight)
Fish Requirements
• Must meet Texas legal size limits.
• Must be caught on tournament day and in edible condition.
• Altered or tampered fish will be disqualified.
Weigh-In Rules
• Official scale is final. Ties decided by earliest weigh-in time.
Sportsmanship & Liability
• Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification.
• Participants fish at their own risk
Waiver & Liability Release:
I understand fishing can be hazardous and I participate at my own risk. I release Casting Out Cancer and event partners from liability.
Entry Fees & Prize Payout
Adult Entry: $100 • Kids Entry: $25
70% Prize Pool • 30% Donation to Charity.
Example (150 anglers): $10,500 Prize Pool.
Per Species: 1st $1,750 • 2nd $1,050 • 3rd $700
Kids Division will be awarded Trophies, Certificates and Prizes.
