  • The North Garland Band Booster Club is seeking nominations for the 2026-2027 Band Booster Club Executive Board & Committees. Membership is open to parents, legal guardians of students in the North Garland High School Band Program and any other interested person. Membership is free and open to all who are interested in helping the band program throughout the year.

  • Nominating Committee:

    • Shall consist of five (5) members. This will include a current board member who will chair the committee.  Representation on the committee must include at least one member from three different grade levels.
    • The purpose of the committee is to recommend various members of the organization for office in the coming school year.
    • The nominating committee should be charged with soliciting recommendations for officer positions within the organization.
    • The committee should then contact the potential candidate directly to ascertain their willingness and desire to serve.
    • The committee will have nominations ready for the April 9th regular meeting.
    • The committee is automatically dissolved as soon as the purpose is accomplished.

  • Executive Board:

    • Must have a minimum of eight (8) members.
    • Supports the North Garland High School Band Program and its activities.
    • Secures parent volunteers for band-related activities including out-of-town trips and social activities.
    • Helps with fundraising projects.
    • Shall have full authority to manage the Boosters organization within the confines of the by-laws and the will of the voting members.
    • Include:
      1. President
      2. Vice President
      3. Treasurer
      4. Secretary
      5. VP of Communications
      6. VP of Fundraising
      7. VP of Hospitality
      8. VP of Operations
      9. VP of Volunteers

  • Fundraising Committee:

    • Shall consist of the VP of Fundraising and his/her appointed committee.
    • The VP of Fundraising shall appoint a committee consisting of General Members to assist with fundraising plans and projects. 
    • The appointed committee shall present plans of the fundraising projects to the General Members.
    • The committee is automatically dissolved as soon as the purpose is accomplished.

  • Audit Committee:

    • Shall verify the accuracy of the Treasurer’s financial reports;
    • Will ensure that the club’s cash balances are accurate;
    • Determine that established procedures for handling booster funds have been followed;
    • Will ensure that expenditures occurred in a manner consistent with the organization’s bylaws;
    • Will ensure that all revenues have been appropriately received and recorded;
    • The committee is automatically dissolved as soon as the purpose is accomplished and the committee report is made.
