The Road to National Captain of the Year
At the end of 2026, USTA National will honor one outstanding individual as the National Captain of the Year. USTA South Carolina is excited to participate in this journey by recognizing the leaders who make our local leagues possible.
The Selection Process
To determine who will represent South Carolina on the regional and national stage, the Adult Programs Committee will first select a Captain of the Season for each of the following leagues: Adult, Mixed, and Combo.
The Path to the Top
From these seasonal winners, two will be recognized as the 2026 USTA South Carolina Captains of the Year. These finalists will move forward to the Southern Section for a chance to be named the Southern Captain of the Year and receive a final nomination for the prestigious National Award.
Nomination Deadlines for each league:
Adult 18, 40, 55, 65, 70 & Over - May 31
Mixed 18, 40, 55, 65 & Over - July 31
Combo 18, 40, 55, 65 & Over - August 31
