1. Rules of Participation & Safety
By signing this waiver, I agree to the following conditions of entry:
Safety Briefing: I agree to listen to and strictly adhere to all instructions provided during the safety briefing held prior to the commencement of the run.
Alcohol & Substances: I confirm that I will not consume alcohol or any performance-impairing substances prior to or during the event. Anyone suspected of being under the influence will be disqualified immediately.
Equipment & Clothing: I acknowledge that I am responsible for providing my own suitable running attire and protective clothing/footwear. I confirm that my equipment is fit for purpose for a 2.5k, 5k, or 7.5k road/urban run.
Proof of Age: I confirm I am 18 years of age or older. I agree to provide valid photo identification to the event organisers upon request to verify my age.
2. Assumption of Risk
I understand that participating in a running event (2.5k, 5k, or 7k) involves physical exertion and inherent risks, including but not limited to: trips, falls, contact with other participants, effects of weather, and traffic conditions. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation.
3. Waiver of Liability & Indemnity
Release of Claims: I hereby release, waive, and discharge the event organisers, Montirex, Liverpool ONE, and any associated staff or volunteers from any and all liability, claims, or demands arising out of any loss, damage, or injury (including death) that may be sustained by me while participating in the event.
No Fault: I understand and agree that any injuries or health issues that arise during or after the event are not the fault of the event organisers or the Montirex brand.
Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Montirex brand and its affiliates against any loss, liability, damage, or costs they may incur due to my participation in the activity, whether caused by my own negligence or otherwise.
4. Medical Declaration & Treatment
Fitness to Run: I declare that I am physically fit and have no medical conditions that would prevent me from safely participating in this run.
5. Media Release
I grant the event organisers and Montirex permission to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event containing my likeness for any legitimate promotional purpose, including social media and marketing.
6. Data Protection (GDPR)
I understand that the information provided in this form will be used solely for the organisation of the event and in the case of a medical emergency, in accordance with UK Data Protection laws.
Acknowledgment of Understanding
I have read this waiver of liability and fully understand its terms. I understand that I am giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue the organizers and the Montirex brand. I acknowledge that I am signing the agreement freely and voluntarily.
