    The booking is not like a hotel, but rather like a university.  Therefore each attendee must have their own form.

    Confirmation of rooms to be handled separately

    Full-time retreatants may request their room location and, depending on timing of the receipt of registration with full payment and availability, will be prioritized for assignment. However, we cannot guarantee room assignments.

    Two-week retreatants may request a room location as second priority and will be informed if available.

    Retreatants of one-week or less (or weekend visitors) will be assigned to remaining rooms on a first-come-first-served basis.

    Please note we will try our best to accommodate your request according to availability. Additionally, we attempt to place returning retreatants in room assignments they have previously requested when they apply for retreat early (we become unable to do so as we get closer to retreat time).

    Options for Tents - Plenty of Tents Available

    Tents are on wood platforms in a forested area with access to a shared bath house. We currently offer domed alpine tents and some limited square tents. White canvas tents are no longer available. We cannot bring our own tents. We normally only sell out of the forest tents on the "culture weekend" (normally the last full weekend of retreat).

    You must have a roommate to book a shared tent.

    We are limiting shared tents to those who already have a roommate. Please do not book a shared tent if you do not already have a roommate planned. Square tents will be available as priority for tent shares. Thank you!

  • Note that your roommate must file an application for retreat within 10 business days of our receipt of this application confirming their attendance.

  • Rota

    Rota is considered to be part of our practice and helps the center keep costs low. To find out about Rota, please visit this page on our website (opens in a new window).

  • Please remit payment via PayPal (below) or by writing a check and mailing it to the center (Palyul Retreat Center, 350 Hollow Road, McDonough, NY 13801 - make payable to "Palyul Retreat Center").

    Payment must be received within a week of receipt of your registration form to hold your accommodation

    Payment must be received by June 10th to qualifiy for early registration discount.

    Apologies, we cannot hold rooms or tents if we do not have payment in full within this timeframe.

    Nyungne registration MUST be done by a separate form. Visit https://retreat.palyul.org after completing this form to register for Nyungne.
