Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, KISD is no longer requiring returning transfer students to complete an annual transfer application. Nonresident transfers will automatically renew each year unless you receive a notice of revocation from your student's campus.

I understand that all students accepted to attend KISD through the Open Enrollment or Returning Student Transfer program shall be required to provide their own transportation to and from school. Parents and/or guardians are responsible for transportation as KISD will not provide bus service to transfer students, including special needs students.
I understand that, if approved, this transfer request is granted conditionally and can be revoked AT ANY TIME DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR if my student is truant or has excessive absences and/or tardies.
I understand that, if approved, this transfer request is granted conditionally and can be revoked AT ANY TIME DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR if my student engages in serious or persistent misbehavior that violates the Student Code of Conduct.
I understand the policy regarding UIL eligibility requirements for athletic competition.
I understand that presenting false information or false records for identification is a criminal offense under Penal Code 37.10, and enrolling a child under false documents makes the person liable for tuition or other costs as provided in Education Code 25.002(D).
