• Committee Sign-Up Form

    SVA committees support our exhibitions, events, education programs, and community partnerships. Artist members are required to participate in one or more committees based on their interests and availability.

    534 Event Crew
    Chair: Carla Lewis
    Assist with opening day setup, food service, bartending, and greeting visitors during events at the 534 space.


    Food Committee
    Chair: Jennifer Headley
    Coordinate food planning, preparation, and service for SVA events and receptions.


    Cruise Ship Visits
    Co-Chair: Mike McArdle
    Chairperson Needed
    Coordinate four cruise ship visits during the summer, including pop-up art fairs and potential social events such as brat and beer cocktail hours.


    Summer Art Fairs on the Green
    Chair: Mike McArdle
    Organize and manage tent pop-up art fairs held on the green space next to 534.


    534 Landscape & Building Maintenance
    Assist with minor building repairs, outdoor landscaping, and seasonal cleanup. Volunteers support garden care and maintenance projects.


    Printed Material Distribution
    Deliver posters, newsletters, and promotional materials to local businesses and community locations.


    School & Student Liaison
    Coordinate partnerships with local schools and provide art opportunities for students. Includes programs such as the Sheridan School after-school art class and future educational collaborations.

    Coordinate and manage off-site exhibitions throughout the community.


    Kaleidoscope Program
    Chair: Judy Schmidt
    Provide art experiences and programming for the Juvenile Detention Center and Bridgewood programs.


    Scholarship Committee
    Chair: Sandy Achterberg
    Review and evaluate college scholarship applications.


    Workshops, Classes & Professional Development
    Chair: Christy Myers
    Develop and coordinate workshops, classes, and professional development opportunities for members.


    Small Works Exhibition
    Chair: Carla Lewis
    Assist with exhibition setup and event support, including pinning canvases, table setup, display installation, artwork arrangement, cleanup, checkout packaging, and gift baskets.


    Fundraising, Sponsorships & Donations
    Chair: Diane Ebenreiter
    Develop fundraising opportunities and cultivate sponsorships and donations supporting SVA programs.


    All-Member Meetings
    Plan and coordinate two annual SVA membership meetings, including venue selection and event logistics.


    Membership Committee

    Support onboarding of new members and offboarding processes as needed.


    Christopher Farm & Gardens Event
    Chair: Sandy Achterberg
    Coordinate volunteers for registration, food service, art sales in the barn, and parking assistance.


    Marketing & Communications

    Support promotion of SVA events and programs and assist with marketing materials and communications.


    BID — Business Improvement District Liaison
    Chair: Dorothy Block
    Serve as liaison with the Sheboygan Riverside District and participate in public special events.
