• Bee U NYC Green Jobs Pipeline Application – Cohort 2026

  • The Bee U NYC Green Jobs Pipeline (GJP) is a cohort-based workforce development program for Bee U NYC alumni.

    Through this program, alumni can access part-time jobs, internships, and advanced training with Bee U NYC and partner organizations across NYC. Most roles pay between $20–$25 per hour, depending on placement. Placements typically run from May to September.

    This application is for Cohort 2026

    • Application Opens: Monday, March 2
    • Application Closes: Sunday, March 15
    • Interviews: Week of March 23
    • Site Placement Announcement: Week of March 30th

    Most employments will start in May; however, you must commit to attending these trainings:

    1) Saturday, April 18, from 10 AM - 3 PM - Onboarding + Bee U NYC Expectations
    2) Sunday, April 19, from 10 AM - 2 PM - Program Logistics
    3) Week of Monday, April 20th - Employer Site Visits (1 Day Only)
    4) Sunday, April 26, from 10 AM - 2 PM - Professional Development & Site Visit Debrief

    Participants are also required to attend the following Workforce Workshops, which will be located in Manhattan (exact place TBD):

    1) Wednesday, May 13, from 6:30 - 7:30 PM
    2) Wednesday, June 17, from 6:30 - 7:30 PM
    3) Wednesday, July 15, from 6:30 - 7:30 PM
    4) Wednesday, August 19, from 6:30 - 7:30 PM

  • EDUCATION & COMMUNITY ORGANIZING TRACK

    The Education & Community Organizing Track prepares alumni to lead environmental education programs and engage communities around climate justice and sustainability. Participants build skills in facilitation, curriculum development, youth mentorship, and public speaking while serving in roles such as Fellowship Coordinators, climate justice interns, and outdoor educators. The track supports career pathways in nonprofit leadership, environmental advocacy, and community-based education.

    BEEKEEPING & URBAN AGRICULTURE TRACK


    The Beekeeping Track provides advanced, hands-on technical training in hive management, honey production, and pollinator health. Participants work alongside professional beekeepers to gain experience in seasonal colony care, sustainable practices, and small business operations. This pathway prepares alumni for careers in apiculture, urban agriculture, conservation, and environmentally focused entrepreneurship.

    ARTS & CULTURE TRACK

    The Arts and Culture Track connects environmental education with cultural institutions and public history. Participants serve in education and visitor services roles at museums and heritage centers, strengthening their skills in storytelling, public programming, and community engagement. This track supports careers in museum education, cultural programming, and place-based environmental interpretation.
