2026 Apple Pie Contest Entry Form

Thank you for your interest in this year's Pleasantville Farmers Market Apple Pie Contest!  We look forward to seeing you and tasting your amazing creations.  

To enter, either complete this online form or visit the Market Manager's tent on any Saturday in September. The last day for registration will be Wednesday, September 30. For logistical reasons, there will be no pie registration on the day of the contest.  

Submit this form and payment by September 30 and receive $10 in Market Bucks (which can be used as cash anywhere in our Market) when you bring your pie in on October 3.

Rules

• Final day for registration is Wednesday, September 30. No registration on the day of the contest.
• Online registration and payment available on the PFM website.
• Pies must be dropped off at the Market from 8:15 to 9:00 AM on October 3. 
• Pies should be made in a pie plate that is between 9” and 10” in diameter at its widest point. 
• At drop-off, pies should be ready for display, in their plates - no containers, Tupperware, lids, etc.  
• 2025 winners and household members may participate, but only in a different category.  
• All pies must be made from scratch. No store-bought crusts or fillings.
• Amateur bakers only.
• Apples must be the main filling ingredient. Do not use raisins or other fruits. Nuts are NOT allowed as a filling ingredient, but can be used in the crust if needed for a gluten-free pie.
• One entry per household.
• No entries from vendors, board members, volunteers, judges, or their immediate families (parents, children, or siblings).
• To win, baker must be present at the award ceremony, which will immediately follow the judging. 
• Rules violations may be cause for your pie to be deemed ineligible for participation, at the sole discretion of Pleasantville Farmers Market.

Additional Details

• You will receive $10 in Market Bucks when you bring in your pie on October 3
• Use Market Bucks like cash at any vendor. They never expire.
• Three winners in each category will receive a medal and a Pleasantville Farmers Market tote filled with Market goodies, as well as bragging rights!
• The judges’ scores will not be distributed to participants.Pick up your reusable pie plate when the contest is over.
• In the event of cancellation due to inclement weather, the entry fee will be refunded.

REGISTRATION FEE

Submit your $10 registration fee for the 2026 APC using Venmo, PayPal, Debit or Credit Card by using one of the options, below. 

Your registration fee will be refunded, in the form of $10 in Market Bucks, when you drop off your pie/crisp at the contest on October 3rd.
