Competition Information
Categories this year are as follows : Student, Western Freestyle, Eastern Freestyle, Swedish, Wellness, Facial, Sports, Body Sculpting & Advanced Professional . Therapists can choose to compete in one or two categories except for the PRO or Student. Licensed estheticians can only compete in the facial category or wellness within their scope of practice.. You must be a licensed massage therapist to compete with the exception of students enrolled in a massage program or licensed estheticians for the facial massage category only. California massage license holders can compete for the overall grand prize : entry to the American Massage Championships 2026 to represent our state ($250 value) and entry to the world massage festival 2026 ($500 value). Out of state licensed massage therapists can compete for category winnings (1st,2nd,3rd place medals & any such prizes attached) only. Your scores will be entered into a national database to allow for rankings across the United States. Pro category does not allot for national rankings. By registering you agree that photographs taken of you, your work , your participation and any such matter involved with the championship can be shared for advertising purposes by California Massage Championships, American Massage Championships, International Massage Association, its affiliates and other state massage championships for the express purposes of promoting championships throughout the United States. Meals are included for participants & judges the day of the championships ( Saturday & Sunday ) only with their registration. Additional options for guests will be added at a later date.
