SWIH Women's Empowerment Scholarship
Strong Women In Heels' mission is to empower women by providing them a platform to fulfill their aspirations and enhance their knowledge and skills. We believe that education is a precious asset that can help women achieve their full potential and positively impact their communities.
The SWIH Women's Empowerment Scholarship was established to further our commitment to empowering young women and creating a better future for all. This scholarship is intended to provide financial aid to its recipients and serve as a beacon of hope and encouragement for women to pursue their educational goals and succeed in their chosen careers.
Application Requirements
Who Qualifies?
- High school senior girls graduating in the Spring of 2026 with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

You must have officially been accepted into a university, community college, or vocational institute for the 2026 Summer or Fall semester.

You must currently live in the Big Bend area (Leon, Gadsden, Jefferson, Franklin, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, and Wakulla counties).
Essay
You must upload a short essay that tells us about yourself and your goals, and answer one of the prompts below.
- As a young woman, what do you think are the biggest challenges facing your generation? What steps have you taken or plan to take to address them?
- How important is women's empowerment in today's society? How can women empower each other, and what actions have you taken to empower other women?
Essays should be between 350 - 500 words and double-spaced.
Acceptance Letter and Transcripts
You must upload a copy of your high school transcript or report card showing your current GPA and a copy of your official acceptance letter from a university, college, or vocational institution.
Application Deadline: May 1, 2026
Please note that this application must be completed in one session, and you will not be able to make changes to it after submission. We recommend you have all the necessary information ready before you begin the application. You may write your essay in a separate document and copy/paste it into the submission box.
