Spa Cover Replacement Service – Terms & Conditions
Service Overview: Spa covers provided by DB Spa Repair & Service are offered as a professional replacement service and not as a standalone retail product. By engaging our services, the customer authorizes DB Spa Repair & Service to manage the spa cover replacement process from measurement through ordering and delivery or installation. You call us. We handle the rest.
Trip & Measurement Requirement: All spa covers must be measured on-site by our team prior to ordering. We do not accept customer-provided measurements. Measurements are not provided to the customer and are used solely for internal ordering and verification to ensure proper fit and accountability.
A $99 on-site measurement fee is due at the time of the scheduled appointment. This fee covers the professional measurement service and appointment time.
If the customer proceeds with the spa cover order, the $99 measurement fee will be applied toward the total cover service cost.
If the customer cancels upon our arrival, declines to proceed after the measurement is performed, or chooses not to move forward with the order, the $99 measurement fee is non-refundable.
Deposit & Order Submission
Once measurements are completed and the customer approves the specifications, deposit payment is required before the custom cover order is submitted for production.
Custom spa covers are made-to-order and are non-returnable and non-refundable once submitted for manufacturing.
Customer Selections & Approvals: The customer is responsible for approving preference-based selections only, including cover color, material or vinyl type, thickness and taper, and any optional features selected. The customer does not approve or review technical specifications such as dimensions, corner radius, hinge placement, or seam location.
Specification & Ordering Authorization: All technical specifications required for proper fit are determined by the contractor as part of the service. By signing this agreement, the customer authorizes DB Spa Repair & Service to select, verify, and place the spa cover order with the manufacturer. Once the spa cover order is submitted, the cover is considered a custom-ordered item and is non-cancelable and non-refundable.
Order Days & Cool-Off Period: Spa cover orders are placed on scheduled order days. After the measurement visit, the customer may cancel the order at any time prior to the next scheduled order day. If no order timing selection or waiver is completed, delayed ordering is the default.
Cool-Off Waiver: The customer may elect to waive the cool-off period and authorize immediate ordering of the spa cover. Once the cool-off period is waived and the order is submitted, the order becomes final and non-cancelable.
Right to Cancel: IThe customer has the right to cancel this agreement within three business days from the date of signing, provided the spa cover has not yet been ordered. If canceled within this period, payments will be refunded minus the $99 trip deposit. Cancellation must be submitted in writing via email, mail, or hand delivery. Once the spa cover order is submitted, the Right to Cancel no longer applies to the spa cover order.
Production & Delivery Timeframes: Spa covers are custom manufactured. Average production time is approximately four to six weeks; however, production may take eight to twelve weeks or longer depending on manufacturer workload, material availability, shipping conditions, or other factors beyond our control. All timeframes provided are estimates only and not guaranteed. DB Spa Repair & Service is not responsible for manufacturer or shipping delays, and delays do not constitute grounds for cancellation, refunds, or chargebacks once the cover is ordered. Exact delivery dates and times are not provided.
Delivery, Installation & Access: The customer must provide safe and clear access to the spa. Existing cover lifters will be reused if compatible. Old cover removal and disposal are included unless otherwise noted. Additional labor, access limitations, or unforeseen conditions may result in additional charges.
Reorders & Saved Cover Profiles: Customer cover information may be saved for future reorders. Measurements remain internal and are not displayed to the customer. Reorders may require completion of a verification questionnaire, and DB Spa Repair & Service reserves the right to require a new measurement visit prior to reordering.
Limitation of Responsibility: DB Spa Repair & Service’s responsibility is limited to accurate measurement and ordering based on observed conditions and coordination of manufacturing and delivery. We are not responsible for manufacturer defects beyond their warranty, delays outside our control, or issues caused by spa movement, structural changes, or customer modifications made after measurement.
Cover Lifters & Warranty: If the customer uses or plans to use a spa cover lifter, it is highly recommended to use a cover lifter approved by DB Spa Repair & Service and provided and installed by us as part of the service. If the customer chooses to purchase or install their own cover lifter, any hydraulic or mechanical lifter that uses hooks, clamps, or similar devices attached at or near the hinge or fold line of the spa cover to hold the cover down will void the spa cover warranty. DB Spa Repair & Service is not responsible for any damage caused by such lifters. The use of any cover lifter that places stress on the hinge or fold area of the cover, including but not limited to lifters attached by screws, clamps, hooks, or other fastening methods, releases DB Spa Repair & Service from responsibility for resulting damage and is not covered under warranty. Warranty coverage applies only when approved cover lifters are used and installed by DB Spa Repair & Service or when the cover is used without a lifter.
Normal Wear, Maintenance & Damage Exclusions: Spa covers are subject to normal wear over time and require proper care and maintenance. DB Spa Repair & Service is not responsible for damage, deterioration, or failure of the spa cover caused by normal wear and tear, improper or lack of maintenance, misuse, or abuse. This includes, but is not limited to, chemical damage, water saturation due to improper water chemistry, failure to maintain a vapor barrier, or failure to clean and condition the cover material as recommended. DB Spa Repair & Service is not responsible for damage caused by animals, pests, insects, rodents, or wildlife, nor for damage caused by environmental or external factors including weather exposure, sun damage, wind, hail, falling debris, or other acts of God. Damage caused by placing objects on the spa cover, sitting, standing, walking, or allowing children or adults to step or jump on the cover, which may result in foam core breakage, seam failure, or damage to the cover skin, is not covered under warranty. Any damage resulting from improper use, neglect, third-party interference, or conditions outside of normal intended use releases DB Spa Repair & Service from responsibility and is not covered under warranty.
Condensation & Moisture: Spa covers operate in a warm, humid environment and it is normal and expected for condensation to form on the underside of the cover, including the surface facing the water. Moisture, dampness, or water droplets on the bottom of the cover are not indicators of a defect, water intrusion, or failure of the cover. DB Spa Repair & Service is not responsible for condensation-related moisture and such conditions are not covered under warranty. Actual water absorption or foam saturation caused by seam failure, misuse, improper chemical balance, or external damage is separate from normal condensation and may void warranty coverage. Proper ventilation, water chemistry, and routine maintenance are required to minimize excess moisture.
Water Intrusion, Rain Exposure & Cover Maintenance: Spa covers are exposed to outdoor conditions and it is normal for water to enter or be present within a spa cover over time, particularly due to rain, environmental exposure, age of the cover, and normal use. The amount of water present may vary based on rainfall, weather conditions, frequency of use, and the age and condition of the cover. Condensation from warm, humid air inside the spa can also cause moisture to develop within the cover core and on the underside of the cover. DB Spa Repair & Service strongly recommends the use of a separate waterproof protective cover placed over the spa cover to help prolong the life of the cover and reduce water absorption caused by rain and environmental exposure. Proper maintenance of the spa cover is the customer’s responsibility and includes periodically opening the cover, especially after rainfall or periods of non-use, to allow trapped water and moisture to drain and evaporate. Customers are advised to lift one side of the cover at an angle to allow accumulated water to pour out. Failure to properly maintain, drain, ventilate, or protect the spa cover may result in water saturation, added weight, accelerated wear, or damage, which is not considered a defect and is not covered under warranty.
