    Important Dates

    • Applications are due by Sunday, May 3, 2026 at 11:59pm U.S. Pacific Time.
    • Applicants will be notified of the results by the end of June 2026
    • The Festival performances will be held at 1:30pm daily, Thursday through Saturday, October 22-24, 2026 in Seattle, WA (venue near the University of Washington campus TBA) as part of the 2026 EMA Summit.

    Please upload three recent concert programs (PDF only). Name each file with your ensemble name and date of the concert program. For example: EMAEnsemble_09/14/2024. For this application, programs should be no older than January 2024.

  • Section 4-Performance Recording(s)

  • Performance recording(s) should meet the following requirements:

    • A recording of the ensemble from live performances, with a minimum of 10 minutes and no longer than 30 minutes of total audio and/or video files.
    • Recordings must be from no earlier than January 2024.
    • The recorded examples need not feature the exact performers who will participate at the Young Performers Festival. It is assumed that student ensembles change in their membership from year to year. However, a substantial number of the performers should be the same as those who will participate in Fall 2026.
    • Submitted performance recordings should be of the highest video or audio quality possible.
    • We will only accept audio or video recordings in the form of links to YouTube or another internet hosting/streaming site.
    • Recordings can be multiple short selections, or one long selection.
    • Please include a list of the URL addresses of your performance audio or video recordings as well as the title/composers of all pieces performed for each.
  • Section 5-Festival Travel Grant Details

    Selected ensembles will be issued a grant of $3,000 to assist with travel expenses. The information below is required to issue your Travel Grant payment if you are selected. *Ensembles located in the host city area are not eligible for travel grants.*
