Graduating is a big deal.
It represents years of hard work, resilience, growth, and courage. For queer youth, that journey often includes navigating challenges with strength and authenticity. We are incredibly proud of all that you’ve accomplished, and we can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with you as you step into whatever comes next!
Camp Sunflower and Glisten Kansas (formerly GLSEN) are hosting a Rainbow Graduation Dinner & Reception to honor graduating youth and the people who have supported them along the way.

What to Expect
- A catered dinner
- A formal graduation recognition ceremony where each graduate will be acknowledged by name and receive:
- A commemorative certificate
- A rainbow honor cord (the braided cords worn at graduation) or a rainbow tassel to wear with their cap
- Inspiring speakers
- A celebratory reception and dance to connect, laugh, and celebrate together
Each graduate may invite up to four guests (for a total of five attendees including the graduate).
