  • A limited number of full week slots can be booked in advance through the council from the 1st of April at a chargeable rate of £300. 

    The slots will be marked as RESERVED from Monday to Sunday when mooring at Mill Meadows.

      1.       Definitions

      1.1.  “The Regatta” refers to Henley Royal Regatta.

      1.2.  “The Council” refers to Henley Town Council.

      1.3.  “The Hirer” refers to the individual or entity booking the mooring.

      2.       Mooring Period

      2.1.  Pre-booked moorings are sold for the full period Monday to Sunday during Regatta week.

      2.2.  Boats must not arrive before Monday or remain after Sunday.

      2.3.  Overstaying may result in additional daily charges and/or removal at the owner’s risk and expense.

      3.       Booking and Payment

      3.1.  All moorings must be booked in advance using the Council’s official booking process.

      3.2.  Full payment is required at the time of booking.

      3.3.  Bookings are confirmed only once payment has cleared.

      3.4.  All fees are non-refundable except where the Council determines otherwise at its absolute discretion.

      4.       Mooring Fees

      4.1.  Mooring fees are charged for the full Monday–Sunday period regardless of actual arrival or departure date.

      4.2.  No reductions or refunds will be given for late arrival, early departure, inclement weather, river conditions, or interruption of the Regatta.

      5.       Allocation of Berths

      5.1.  Berths are allocated at the sole discretion of the Council.

      5.2.  Specific locations cannot be guaranteed.

      5.3.  The Council reserves the right to reallocate berths where necessary for operational, safety, or regulatory reasons.

      6.       Boat Requirements

      6.1.  Correct sizing of the boat must be provided at the time of booking.

      6.2.  Boats must be in good condition and clearly display the name of the boat

      6.3.  The Council reserves the right to refuse entry to boats deemed unsafe or materially different from the booking details.

      7.       Safety and Conduct

      7.1.  The Hirer must comply with all directions issued by the Council, Regatta officials and the Environment Agency.

      7.2.  Boats must be securely moored with appropriate ropes and fenders at all times.

      7.3.  The following are prohibited without prior written consent: Open fires, barbecues on pontoons, fireworks, generators (unless expressly permitted), commercial trading from the boat.

      7.4.  Excessive noise, disorderly conduct, or nuisance behaviour may result in immediate termination of the mooring agreement without refund.

      8.       Security

      8.1.  The Council provides no guarantee of security.

      8.2.  Boats and their contents remain entirely at the owner’s risk.

      8.3.  The Council shall not be liable for loss, theft, damage, or injury except where caused by proven negligence.

      9.       Cancellation by the Council

      9.1.  The Council reserves the right to cancel or amend mooring arrangements where required due to safety concerns, river conditions, Government or regulatory restrictions or force majeure events.

      10.  Compliance with Law

      10.1.  The Hirer must comply with all applicable legislation, by-laws, and river authority requirements.

      10.2.  The Hirer is responsible for any fines, penalties, or enforcement action arising from breach of regulations.

      11.  Acceptance

      By making payment and/or occupying a berth, the Hirer confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions in full.
