    2026 Growing America's Farmers Scholarship Application

  • G&R Farms of Glennville will be providing (9) $1,000 post-secondary scholarships to Georgia FFA Members who are planning to pursue a career in production agriculture. G&R Farms is known as a leader in the Vidalia Sweet Onion Industry. They plant and grow over 900 acres of Vidalia onions, harvesting between four and five million pounds annually. G&R packages their onions in state-of-the-art facilities. In addition to Vidalia onions, the family operation also includes nearly 5,000 total acres of southeast Georgia farmland that produces a variety of crops, including corn, soybeans, peanuts, hay, wheat, rye, and pecans. Additionally, they operate a 1,500-head cow-calf beef herd operation.
  • Below are the guidelines that must be met in order to apply for this scholarship.

    • The student applying must be a current Georgia FFA member
    • Only seniors who will graduate from high school in 2026 may apply. 
    • These scholarships are specifically for students planning to pursue a career in production agriculture. 
    • The Georgia FFA Foundation will award the scholarship once proof of enrollment in a post-secondary institution has been received. 
    • Scholarship winners must write thank-you letters to G&R Farms contacts (this information will be provided) before receiving their scholarship money. 
    • Application must be completed and submitted by Monday, March 30th, at 5:00 p.m. 

    The winner of this scholarship will be recognized on stage at the 98th Georgia FFA State Convention.
